300 units were not enough at all for the Municipality of Baku, Azerbaijan to satisfy a growing demand for public transportation.
May 19, Daewoo Bus Corp. and Azerbaijan ministry of transportation had signed an agreement to supply 1,000 additional city buses. The first batch (300 units) shall be delivered within 2008 and remaining will follow in 2009.
This contract is meaningful to Daewoo Bus not only for its figures but also that the new and high class model(BC212MA) will be supplied unlike the general models(BS090/BS106) of the previous contract. |
