On May 13th, a ceremony was held at the Seoul Lotte Hotel, where Daewoo Bus, among Korea Institute of Machinery & Material and Oil industry, made an agreement to develop the Clean Diesel Hybrid Buses and firstly, supply 8 units to the local governments until the end of this year. The Hybrid bus improves 40% in fuel efficiency to reduce fuel consumption to the level of 40% and CO2 to the level of 20% compared to CNG bus that Seoul City has been adopting for clean air. Thus, the local governments are planning to introduce this Hybrid bus in Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon on Jan, 2011 and further extend to Ghachun and Yeusu. |
